The House Oversight Committee heard Devon Archer, the former business partner of presidential son Hunter Biden, told lawmakers Tuesday (August 1) how Hunter's father, US President Joe Biden, "lied to the American people when he said he was unaware of his son's business dealings and was not involved."
Archer's attorney, Matthew Schwartz, also told the committee an alleged prison letter from the Department of Justice (DOJ) was not linked to his client's testimony. The DOJ later clarified they did not ask Archer to surrender before his Congressional appearance.
Chinese Tycoon Praises Hunter Biden for Name, Posse
As the committee's investigation continued, a Fox News Digital report revealed that the younger Biden told Archer the Chinese tycoon Che Feng has praised him for his "last name" and for always traveling with "handsome godlike Aryan men."
Che was the son of a soldier in China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) and was previously business partners with former Chinese vice minister for state security Ma Jian.
The Ministry of State Security is the Chinese equivalent of the Soviet Union's KGB, the New York Post reported.
In a 2011 email thread, Hunter bragged to Archer about his business relationship with Che, who both men referred to as "The Super Chairman." The emails detailed how Che helped Hunter's firm Rosemont Seneca Partners and James Bulger's Thornton Group LLC to secure their partnership with Jonathan Li's firm Bohai Capital to establish Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), a firm under the control of the Bank of China Ltd.

The Biden-Archer Email Thread
The revelation came after Archer told the House Oversight Committee Monday (July 31) that the older Biden, as vice president under Barack Obama, had coffee with Li and wrote a college letter of recommendation for Li's daughter.
The email thread began on September 21, 2011, when Thornton Group co-founder Michael Lin sent a term sheet of the joint venture fund with Li to Hunter and Bulger, who was the namesake nephew of Boston crime boss James "Whitey" Bulger.
It was also revealed that Lin worked with the State Legislative Leaders Foundation (SLLF), a nonprofit partnering with the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, a propaganda group that pushes Chinese Communist Party (CCP) messaging. Lin also intended to include other CPP-backed companies in the venture, like China Investment Corp. (CIC), as advised by Che.
It was at this point Hunter forwarded the whole conversation to Archer, saying the proposal seemed like the windfall they were seeking. However, Hunter told Archer to keep the conversation between the two of them.
"I know Michael [Lin] can be overly optimistic, but if we were 20% owners of a CIC super chairman [Che] backed fund, I think the sky's the limit," the younger Biden told Archer.
At this point, Hunter theorized about how he got the favor of Che, mentioning the presidential son met the tycoon through Li, who was the CEO of Bohai Capital at the time of the email, and eventually became the CEO of BHR.
Bidens in Beijing
After the email conversation, Hunter introduced Li to his father, then-Vice President Biden, in December 2013 after he and his father flew to Beijing to a scheduled meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During the trip, Hunter arranged for a brief handshake between Li and his father in the lobby of the hotel where the U.S. delegation was staying, and then Hunter met up with Li privately, the New Yorker reported at the time.
Less than two weeks after Biden arrived in China, BHR Partners was registered.
Archer also told the House committee that Hunter would often put his father on speakerphone while meeting with business partners, two lawmakers said Monday.
Legal representatives of both Hunter Biden and Devon Archer have not provided any comment at the time Fox News Digital published its report
