Thirteen years ago, Long Island, NY, horror struck as four bodies of young women, possibly sex workers, were found in burlap at Gilgo Beach's Ocean Parkway.
For more than a decade, the case remained a haunting mystery, until last month when Rex Heuermann, a 59-year-old man, was arrested and charged with the murders of three of the infamous "Gilgo Four" victims: Melissa Barthelemy, 24, Megan Waterman, 22, and Amber Costello, 27, according to USA Today.

Bob Macedonio, Ellerup's lawyer, explained that Victoria's sentiments were due to the monstrous acts committed against the victims, dehumanizing them in the most brutal manner.
Heuermann's son, Christopher Sheridan, 33, who has special needs, has also struggled to come to terms with the allegations against his father, facing deep emotional pain, as per CBS News.
