Many U.S. employees are having a hard time achieving work-life balance. Because of this, they tend to experience job stress and full-blown burnout. But, with the worsening economic inflation, they can't just let go of their jobs that easily.

According to Forbes' latest report, work burnout across the world is significantly rising.

There are many factors that affect work burnout, such as the cities employees are living in.
Now, FinanceBuzz's new study revealed America's most overworked cities:

  1. Washington, D.C.: This is the most overworked city in the United States; having one of the highest percentages of dual-job households.
  2. Denver, CO: In Denver, over 6% of residents in the Mile High City are taking a second work.
  3. Austin, TX: More than one person holds a full-time job.
  4. Minneapolis, MN: Minneapolis has one of the highest percentages of households with more than one member having full-time work.
  5. Dallas, TX: Dallas has one of the highest percentages of older adult employees aged 65 and above.

Knowing how to deal with your work burnout is very important, especially if you're one of the breadwinners in your family.

Mayo Clinic provided some of the things you can do to take care of yourself while doing your full-time work:

  • Try achieving mindfulness. When you say mindfulness, it is the act of focusing on your breath flow, as well as being aware of what you're feeling at all times.
  • Try asking for support from your friends, colleagues, and loved ones. Sometimes, all you need is emotional support so that you can still keep on going.
  • Make sure that you will not bring your work at home. Once your shift is done, avoid checking your emails if necessary.
  • Get enough sleep so that you can restore your well-being. Getting an 8-hour sleep also helps protect your physical and mental health.
