According to Business Insider's latest report, Russia's defense tactics in Ukraine are causing a standstill on the frontlines.
Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, a general handling Ukraine's counteroffensive to take back the territory in the east and south of the country, said that they are not underestimating their enemies.
He explained that this is because Russia's defenses are making it hard for them to move forward.
Via CNBC, defense analysts explained that Russia's military is now becoming a more formidable opponent for Ukraine.
"As Ukraine prepares for offensive operations its armed forces face major tactical challenges," explained Nick Reynolds and Jack Watling.
The RUSI (Royal United Services Institute) land warfare specialists added that as Russian defenses become more effective, Ukrainians need to generate serious combat power if they want to penetrate these defense strategies.
