U.S. President Joe Biden is urging his staff members to take time off. The American leader even said that if they won't do it, he will terminate them.
US President Joe Biden Urges Staff to Take Time Off
According to CNBC's latest report, POTUS was featured on the recent "On Purpose" podcast episode. Biden talked with life coach and former monk Jay Shetty about his one rile, which he developed as a U.S. senator.
The American leader said that there was one time when one of his staff members wanted to stay at the Supreme Court hearing despite having issues at home.
However, Joe said that he forced his staff to go home.
"[I told him] go home... go home. And you know why? Because I would go home," he explained.
"I have a thousand bosses, but [ultimately] only one me ... I know when I had a crisis at home raising the boys, I went home," he added.
Biden also recalled another similar situation. POTUS said that he told one of his employees that if he don't go home, he will fire him.
He added that he needs to go home because his relationship with him is "a hell more important" than what he was doing during that moment.
"So that's a rule we have. Not a joke," shared the American leader.
POTUS Supporting Mental Health
Biden's support for the mental health of his staff members and other Americans across the United States is not just a part of his presidential campaign.
In fact, Joe Biden endorsed plans that will improve the mental health care access of U.S. residents.
ABC News recently reported that its new plans of Biden will push healthcare insurance providers to boost the mental health coverage of consumers.
The American president said that they will fulfill the promise of true mental health parity to all U.S. residents.
He added that their plans will require health insurance providers to identify gaps in the mental health care they offer.
