The U.S. government's Ukraine aid is allegedly connected to POTUS Joe Biden's son.
This was shared by GOP Vivek Ramaswamy, saying that the American government is helping Ukraine because of Hunter Biden.
US Gov's Ukraine Aid Allegedly Linked to Hunter Biden
According to NBC News' latest report, the Republican presidential candidate claims that the U.S. is involved in the Ukraine-Russia war because of Hunter Biden.
"The purpose of the U.S. military [is] to advance American interests, to protect the homeland," explained Ramaswamy.
He explained that the U.S. government should not be involved in a random war, especially if the assistance offered is a repayment for the private bribe received by a U.S. family member.
Vivek even said that the private bribe is the $5 million provided by Burisma (Burisma Holdings Limited), a Ukraine-based group of energy exploration and production companies.
"Was the payment to Hunter Biden corrupt? Absolutely it was. Do I think that it has some relationship towards our posture toward Ukraine? I think it's likely that it does," explained Ramaswamy.
A Reference to Alleged Bribe Received by Vice President Biden
The statements shared by the GOP presidential candidate are specifically about the alleged bribe that Joe Biden and his son received.
When Joe Biden was still the U.S. vice president, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer recently claimed that he received a $5 million payment from a foreign national.
A whistleblower shared this, who said that a Biden family member was also involved in the bribe.
After this revelation, many Republicans believed that the family member the whistleblower referred to was Hunter Biden.
Hunter was serving as the attorney and board member of Burisma when the accusations about the bribe happened.
Americans Also Against US Involvement in Ukraine
Aside from Vivek, CNN reported that most Americans are also against the involvement of the U.S. government in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war.
Based on the source's poll, around 55% of U.S. residents don't want Congress to authorize additional funding to aid Ukraine.
Meanwhile, 45% of them said that the U.S. Congress should authorize Ukraine assistance funding.
