According to ABC News' latest report, the eight-part documentary was aired by state broadcaster CCTV this August.

Since it marks the People Liberation Army's 96th anniversary, the docuseries features some testimonials of Chinese soldiers, numerous military drills, as well as the willingness of the military to die for China.

The South China Morning Post stated that it even showcases several military activities of China around Taiwan.

Some parts of the docuseries show a view of PLA's operation scenarios despite operations being restricted. These include air superiority seizures, information tech suppression, as well as sea control.

Aside from this, the "Chasing Dreams" documentary also features the Joint Sword, which is a military exercise that was conducted around Taiwan in April.

Analysts said that the series concentrations on Joint Sword are included to show the force of the Chinese military in response to the U.S. visit of Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen.

These are just some of the things that the new Chinese docuseries show to China's residents.

Is It Another Chinese Propaganda?

Chinese soldiers ride in tanks as they pass in front of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City during a military parade on September 3, 2015 in Beijing, China. China is marking the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and its role in defeating Japan with a new national holiday and a military parade in Beijing.

The People Liberation Army, as well as state media, are known to release propaganda materials regularly.

They are doing this to show the Chinese military's modernization and to help improve the country's nationalism.

This means that the latest "Chasing Dreams" docuseries is another propaganda of the Chinese government as it displays military confidence against Taiwan.

"If war broke out and the conditions were too difficult to safely remove the naval mines in actual combat, we would use our own bodies to clear a safe pathway for our (landing) forces," said PLA Navy minesweeper unit's frogman Zue Feng.

Aside from Feng, Wang Hai Squadron pilot Li Peng also expressed his willingness to sacrifice his life for the country.

The PLA Air Force personnel said his fighter jet would be the last missile to hit the enemy in a real-life battle.

The Chinese docuseries was released as experts claim that PLA will likely make its move to Taiwan by 2027.
