PS5's cloud streaming beta is rolling out with the capability to deliver games in stunning 4K resolution. This breakthrough is a game-changer, letting gamers immerse themselves in jaw-dropping visuals with minimal hardware requirements.

As per a report by The Verge, several gamers took to gaming forums and social media to share that the public beta test for the much-awaited cloud streaming has finally begun. Surprisingly, the early tests include a "max resolution" of 2160p or 4K, apart from 720p, 1080p, and 1440p.

However, it is worth noting that it is still unclear if the 4K resolution refers to the render resolution of the game or the streaming resolution, which pertains to the size of the visuals seen on the display. Regardless, The Verge says that either way would provide a massive boost to the quality to get away from the hazing compression.

According to Video Game Chronicles, Sony is reportedly dishing out the cloud streaming beta to random PlayStation Network (PSN) users in the meantime. But once the cloud service fully takes off, the option is set to be part of the PlayStation Plus Premium subscription.

Which PS5 Games Support Cloud Streaming?

Although Sony has yet to disclose the lineup of titles that supports cloud streaming. The Verge reports that some fan-favorite PS5 games like "God of War: Ragnarok" are leaping into cloud streaming with 4K prowess.

The tech news outlet notes that Sony announced last June that "PS5 titles from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Game Trials, as well as supported digital PS5 titles that players own" likely supports the test.

A Reset Era member, who goes by Arashi Games, listed some games that supposedly support the stunning resolution on cloud streaming. The user says, "[There is] a new section in the PS+ menu that is for Streaming PS5 Games.

The supported games include sought-after offerings, such as "Demon's Souls," "Fortnite," "God of War: Ragnarok," and "Fall Guys." "Sackboy A Big Adventure," " Returnal," "Horizon Forbidden West," "Sackboy A Big Adventure," and "Destruction All Stars" are reportedly part of the lineup as well.

Meanwhile, Press Start Australia pointed out that titles like "Demon Slayer" and "Resident Evil Village" are also available for trial in the PS5 cloud streaming public beta.
