China's Military Laser Weapon Could Outperform US Technology

The novel cooling system fully avoids the dangerous heat produced by high-energy laser operation.

According to Chinese military experts, they have created a novel cooling mechanism that enables high-energy lasers to run "infinitely" without producing any waste heat.

South China Morning Post claims that researchers at the National University of Defence Technology in Changsha, Hunan province, claim that the novel cooling system fully avoids the dangerous heat produced by high-energy laser operation.

Laser Beams That Don't Deteriorate

With the use of modern technology, weapons can produce laser beams indefinitely and without deterioration.

The new cooling system uses innovative architecture and optimized gas flow to reduce turbulence and vibration, improve mirror cleaning, and remove heat from the laser weapon's interior.

By improving range and damage while lowering logistics and costs, it might significantly alter the nature of combat.

The Navy Advanced Chemical Laser (NACL), the Middle Infrared Advanced Chemical Laser (MIRACL), which uses advanced mid-infrared chemical lasers, the Tactical High Energy Laser (THEL), the Space-Based Laser (SBL), and the Airborne Laser (ABL), which uses chemical oxygen iodine lasers, are just a few of the most well-known US projects that have utilized deuterium fluoride as a laser source over the years.

The public was informed that the cancellation of all the projects was due to the massive size and weight of the lasers.

China's Laser Weapon Technology

China has been investing heavily in laser weapon technology in recent years and has made significant progress. In 2017, the Chinese military claimed to have developed a laser weapon that could shoot down drones and other aircraft. In 2022, China announced that it had deployed a laser weapon system on a warship.

China's laser weapon technology is still in the early stages of development, but it is rapidly advancing.

If China is able to successfully deploy and field laser weapons on a large scale, it could have a significant impact on the future of warfare.

Laser weapons could be used to destroy enemy aircraft, missiles, and even ships. They could also be used to blind enemy sensors and disrupt communications.

The development of laser weapon technology by China is a cause for concern for the United States and its allies. Laser weapons could give China a significant advantage in future conflicts.

The United States is also developing laser weapon technology, but it is not clear if it is as advanced as China's technology.

The development of laser weapon technology is a major technological advancement that could have a profound impact on the future of warfare. It is important to monitor the development of this technology and to be prepared for the potential implications.
