Officials stated on Sunday that the Coast Guard was looking for four divers about 50 miles south of Cape Fear, North Carolina and that the search would go on into Monday morning.
The four men were last seen diving from a pleasure boat called Big Bill's around 63 miles east of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, at noon on Sunday, according to the Coast Guard.
The search was conducted using a large number of aircraft and surface craft, including an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and an HC-130 Hercules aircraft.
The agency claimed that after learning the men were missing, its branches got in touch with one another and started a "multi-asset search and rescue effort."
North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and New Jersey have sent rescue teams.
Current Sea Conditions
According to a statement from the Coast Guard, the current sea condition is roughly 2-3 feet with 10-knot gusts, and personnel will keep looking through the night.

Most diving fatalities involve novice divers, who account for 50 percent of all diving deaths.
The missing men's names have not been made public. Officials have not specified if the men were diving for a particular object.
