According to Reuters' latest report, preliminary investigations suggested that the latest mall shooting in Canada is a targeted one.

This means that the injured individuals and the shooter know each other. Via CBC, the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said that the shooting happened at around 7:40 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21.

It specifically took place in the Phase 3 of the mall, which is located on the west side of the Edmonton Mall.
