The owners of Stoke Fruit Farm on Hayling Island off of England's south coast urged the public to refrain from stripping naked to pose for pictures in its sunflower field.
In a Facebook post earlier this month, the farm said it is a "family area" and advised visitors to keep their clothes on while frolicking in the field.
"We are having an increase [in] reports of naked photography taking place and this must not happen during our public sessions please!" the statement wrote.
Owners Urge Visitors to Keep Clothes On
Farm co-owner Sam Wilson told CNN last week they have received reports of about six incidents of people stripping off among the sunflowers since the field opened to visitors at the end of July.
"We've always had people take risque pictures but this is the first year it's been a problem, which is why we've put signs up," he said.
The action was done after they were informed of children seeing adults stripping naked.
Wilson's sister Nette Petley, who also co-owns the farm added that while the sunflower field is a place that gives people an empowering mood, it was about the people around it and being respectful of that.
"The site is huge and there are so many places that you can hide away without anyone finding you for over an hour, but these incidents were blatantly public," she added.
The sunflowers were first planted by Wilson and his wife behind the church where they were supposed to get married six years ago, but the plants did not bloom by the time they tied the knot. While the couple were away on a honeymoon, Petley told Wilson the flowers began to bloom and people wanted to pick the flowers. Since then, it has become a local tourist attraction.
