According to The New York Post's latest report, Nikoubin is a Texas student who has schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
On Tuesday, Aug. 29, she decided to share what was on her mind when the stabbing incident happened, saying that she was in a very manic state of mind when she stabbed Daniel Trevino.
"I essentially looked in the mirror and I thought, 'This actress is hot,' thinking I'm Salma Hayek from the 'Dusk Till Dawn' movie, and I was hallucinating," said the college student.
She added that she was seeing a snake around her shoulders during that moment, which is a reference to the 1996 horror film.
For those who are not familiar with the character that Nika was talking about, she was referring to Salma Hayek's character, Santanico Pandemonium.
In the horror movie, Santanico was described as the most sinister woman to ever dance on the face of the planet, as explained by The People.

Why Nikoubin Stabbed Her Las Vegas Date
The Daily Mail UK reported that Nikoubin stabbed her date because she wanted to avenge a top Iranian general who was killed by a U.S. drone strike.
The incident happened when Nika met her victim via the Plenty of Fish dating app. After that, they decided to meet for sexual intercourse at the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Little did her date know that something horrible would happen to him on March 5, 2022. During their intimate moment, Nikoubin decided to blindfold her date then stab him in the neck.
However, Nika wasn't sent to jail after pleading for probation. She argued that she was traumatized after allegedly being raped at college.
"At the time, I did not fully realize the impact that this experience had on me and my mental health deteriorated," said Nikoubin.
As of writing, she is sentenced to a 3-year probation. You can click here to learn more about the unusual blind date stabbing case of the Texas college student.
