According to Mint's latest report, Elon Musk announced that his X platform will be able to make video and audio calls.

"Video & audio calls coming to X," said the billionaire via his official X post.

The tech executive confirmed that the new X audio and video calls will work on the Mac, PC, iOS, and Android.

Musk added that these upcoming features can be accessed even if users' X accounts don't have their phone numbers.

Elon explained that the upcoming availability of X's audio and video calls on numerous gadget platforms will make the social media app the "effective global address book."

Recently, it was confirmed that X received a new license for crypto trade and payments. Forbes reported that it's a currency transmitter license by Rhode Island's regulators.

BTC Markets Chief Executive Caroline Bowler explained why the new license is a big deal for X and the crypto industry.

She said that X's Rhode Island currency transmitter license amplifies the continued transformation of the crypto landscape.

But, it was clarified that the license doesn't mean that X can now start processing crypto transactions.
