According to Reuters' latest report, the Shanghai Securities Journal, a national securities daily newspaper in China, confirmed that Tesla sued Bingling Intelligent Technology.

The Changzhou-based company, which specializes in chipset designing and car parts manufacturing, is accused of infringing on Tesla's trade secrets.

Aside from this, the Chinese tech firm is also allegedly conducting unfair competition practices.
A hearing for Tesla's lawsuit against Bingling Intelligent Technology is expected to happen on Oct. 10 in the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court.

Tesla explained why it filed a legal action against the Chinese tech company. The Pandaily reported that Tesla is concerned that the tech secret infringement could lead to leakage and theft of its trade secrets.

Once this happens, the EV maker's market position, as well as business interests, will be adversely affected.

Bingling Intelligent Technology, which was founded back in May 2022, focuses on automotive component and accessory productions, integrated circuit chip services and design, as well as car part developments.

The main product of the Chinese tech firm is energy efficiency management sensors, which are used for motor drive control, EV power modules, battery system management, etc.
With these details, you can say that many of Bingling Intelligent Technology's products and services are quite similar/related to Tesla's.

Because of this, Tesla's lawsuit stated that the Chinese company could be infringing upon the EV maker's intellectual property rights in areas including integrated circuit chip design.

If the lawsuit favors Tesla, Bingling Intelligent Technology will not be the only one affected. Xiaomi Smart Factory, the largest shareholder of the Chinese chipmaker, will also be impacted.

The upcoming trial in October will be a big deal for Tesla and Bingling Intelligent Technology since the hearing could resolve the latest dispute between them.
