After 27 years of marriage, Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, announced their divorce on Friday (September 15).
The Australian celebrity ex-couple told People, who first released the news, that they were going their separate ways amicably.
"We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage," the couple said. "Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."

Jackman, 54, and Furness, 67, said they would still prioritize the family they have created, in which they shared two children together, and asked the public to respect their privacy as they process with the struggles of decoupling.
"We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness," they added, signing the statement as "Deb and Hugh Jackman" in what could be the last time they did so. "This is the sole statement either of us will make."
Jackman and Furness met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series "Corelli" and married a year later.
Furness was already an established actress when she married Jackman, who was 13 years her junior. During their married life, their roles were reversed when Jackman became famous for his role as Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Their last red carpet appearance was at the Met Gala last May, and their last appearance as a couple was in July when they attended the men's finals at Wimbledon.
