Customers attack a shop worker over an iPhone 15 Pro delay. A terrifying video shows employees and customers fighting in Delhi as the announcement of Apple's new phone causes a shopping frenzy across India.

Security guards had to intervene to restore order as thousands of Apple fans jostled to be among the first to get their hands on the latest iPhone model, as per The Sun.

Chaos Erupts Over iPhone 15 Pro Launch

The Kamla Nagar neighborhood of the city erupted in violence over alleged delays in the arrival of the new iPhone. Two customers and an employee are seen engaging in a physical altercation within the store in the disturbing video.

One employee's apparel was torn off during the altercation, during which he also launched slaps and jabs at the customers. The footage also revealed a man attempting to strike a store employee who was attempting to de-escalate a situation.

During the pandemonium, customers could be heard verbally abusing store employees, with the majority of employees appearing to attempt to quell the situation. Thankfully, other employees quickly intervened to subdue the unruly customers.
According to reports, the disgruntled buyer's frustration arose from the salesperson's refusal to sell him an iPhone 15 model.

Earlier, outside the Apple Store in Mumbai, an enthusiastic line of iPhone devotees formed, with one customer claiming a 17-hour wait to obtain the coveted smartphone. According to the local news, the police independently verified the footage and then filed a lawsuit against the consumers culpable for the altercation.

More than ten employees attempted to prevent the enraged men from assaulting their coworkers in the store after being informed that the promised selection of iPhones would not be available. The accused clients Mandeep Singh and Jaskirat Singh have been identified and apprehended.

Moreover, shocking footage captured the intense scene outside the store, with customers pushing and shoving, causing some to fall to the ground in Dubai. Additional videos showed customers running through the sprawling Dubai Mall, one of the world's largest shopping centers, and crowding onto escalators amid a backdrop of yelling.

One witness described the scene, stating, "A massive fight over the new iPhone 15 took place in a queue outside the Dubai Apple Store."

Another observer noted the unprecedented crowds, saying, "The queue at Dubai Mall this morning for the #iPhone15 release is just unbelievable. What I saw last year was a joke compared to that of today."

This chaotic episode unfolded as Apple superfans flocked to stores worldwide for the official launch of the iPhone 15. Cities like London, Beijing, and Bangkok witnessed massive crowds, with eager customers vying to be the first to purchase the device.

The iPhone 15's official launch came a week after Apple's highly anticipated Wanderlust event, where CEO Tim Cook unveiled several new devices, including the Apple Watch Series 9. In India, Apple enthusiasts set up camp outside stores in Mumbai and Delhi, with some waiting in line from as early as 3 pm the previous day.

The excitement was palpable, with one user reporting, "Long queues have formed outside Apple stores in Delhi's Select Citywalk Mall in Saket and Mumbai's BKC as the iPhone 15 series goes on sale in India," according to Daily Mail.

Apple's iPhone 15 Pro Launch

The standard range of the new iPhone starts at $799/£799 and features a new titanium frame, USB-C charging port, and new artificial intelligence features. Despite its popularity, the iPhone 15 has received mixed reviews since its unveiling at the Wanderlust event on September 12.

While the device offers five never-before-seen colors and an upgraded rear camera, some users have expressed disappointment in the perceived lack of significant advancements.

Apple began assembling iPhones in India in 2017 with the budget iPhone SE at Wistron's facility in Karnataka. Currently, there are three contract manufacturers of iPhones in India-Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron-producing iPhone 13, 14, and 14 Plus models in the country.

The iPhone 15 is also being manufactured at the Foxconn plant near Chennai. This marks the first time that Apple is selling a made-in-India iPhone right from the launch stage. In previous years, iPhones were initially imported into India before local production began.

However, for now, the company does not plan to produce the iPhone Pro series in India. Apple's expansion in India may extend to manufacturing Airpods next year, as reported by news agency PTI.

While the company is looking to expand its production capabilities in India, there are no immediate plans to manufacture iPads or laptops in the country, News18 reported.
