National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met yesterday with President Guillermo Lasso of Ecuador to discuss critical issues for the United States and Ecuador, including security, climate change, counter-drug cooperation, and addressing the migration challenge in the Western Hemisphere.
During the meeting, National Security Advisor Sullivan noted the United States' commitment to joint efforts to deliver sustainable and inclusive economic growth for our people, including through the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity, and expanding lawful pathways as an alternative to smugglers who prey on vulnerable migrants.
