"The Voice" season 6 aired its second night of blind auditions where coach Adam Levine managed to snag two of the best contestants of the night.
Adam Levine is definitely becoming the king of the "four chair" turn in "The Voice" season 6. The Maroon 5 lead singer has managed to lure every contestant his way this season whenever all four red chairs have turned together.
After snagging two of the best contestants during the first night of the blind auditions, Levine added two more members to his team. The first one was Delvin Choice. This was Choice's second audition in the show. His cover of "A Song For You" managed to turn all four chairs but he decided that Levine would be the best person to improve his already awesome skills.
Madilyn Paige, a Utah native who sang "Titanium" chose Usher over Shakira after the American singer played the "Bieber card." The two coaches got into a heated discussion over this contestant, so much so that Levine jokingly rushed to Blake Shelton's side for protection.
Cary Laine was the other contestant who managed to turn all four red chairs. The stay-at-home mom sang "Better Dig Two" by Band Perry and according to the judges "slew" the song. And, she decided to join Levine's team.
Deja Hall wowed the audience with her soulful rendition of "True Colors" and managed to turn the chairs of Usher, Shakira and Shelton. She decided to join Team Shakira. Shelton finally snagged a victory over Levine with Noah Lis and his performance of "Me and Mrs. Jones."
The current coaches' standings read:
- Team Adam: 4
- Team Usher: 4
- Team Shakira: 3
- Team Blake: 2
Among the heated arguments and fights to win over the contestants, the judges remember to have fun and pull each others' leg once in a while. In last night's episode, Levine highlighted the childlike glee the otherwise sassy Shakira displays every time she gets excited over a contestant.
"I've really come to enjoy something that happens on this show, specifically with Shakira -- when she gets excited about someone, she is surprised as you are that she turned around," he said, according toBillboard. "She can't believe it! It's like her hand is possessed, and she looks at us like, 'Oh my god, I pushed it!"
