Users posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, and expressed dismay at the the Black Lives Matter's support for Palestinian people on Tuesday.
The BLM released a statement about the fight between Hamas militants and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), claiming they are in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
BLM Criticized For Being Pro-Hamas
Black Lives Matter is a social movement that fights racism and social violence against Black people. The BLM Grassroots chapter posted on their social media about the Hamas terrorists attacking Israel and the death of hundreds of civilians.
BLM Chicago also posted and extended their support to Hamas by uploading a silhouetted photo of one of the terrorists flying a powered parachute used in the music festival that killed more than 250 civilians. The photo was captioned, "I stand with Palestine."
A Twitter user named Aviva Klompas reposted the parachute photo and said that BLM "makes her sick as they still used the photo that killed hundreds of civilians."
According to Newsweek, the post went viral as users tweeted replies about the BLM's sudden approval of Hamas.
"As the world is faced with deep questions about self-determination, as well all desire and pray for a world of peace, we must stand unwaveringly on the side of the oppressed... their resistance must not be condemned, but understood as a desperate act of self-defense," the BLM stated.
Natalie W tweeted on X that she has been a Black Lives Matter supporter, but it ended as soon as the BLM expressed their support for Hamas. Former White House official Ari Fleischer wrote on Twitter, "This is disgusting. BLM celebrates murder. Never forget this."
Others commented on BLM Grassroot's Instagram account and bashed the organization for being pro-Hamas.
"I'm for human life. Whatever you are. Blown away," one comment said.
Social media users and other BLM supporters said that they are no longer sure if they will continue supporting the group as they do not condone the Palestinian people.
Hamas Terrorists' Supporters
Other than the BLM, there are other Hamas supporters worldwide, including Australia. Supporters are mostly Muslims. They gathered and chanted near the Sydney Opera House. Muslim Pro-Hamas supporters chanted, "Gas the Jews."
According to The Daily Mail, the local police allowed the pro-Hamas supporters to gather in the Sydney Opera House to chorus violence against the Jews. Still, they arrested pro-Israeli protesters for attempting to raise an Israeli flag.
BLM stands with the Palestinian community and is combatting 57 years of settler colonialism and prejudice. However, as the Black people continue to fight militarism and mass incarcerations, they approve of the murder committed by Palestinians.
