Gigi Hadid Breaks Silence About Israel Conflict
The model expressed empathy to her Instagram followers, primarily those affected by the Hamas conflict. Hadid's thoughts were posted after the Hamas terrorist group and movement began a surprise attack Saturday on Israel.
She continues to convey her regards, especially to the innocent civilians and children.
" My thoughts are with all those affected by this unjustifiable tragedy and every day that innocent lives are taken by this conflict - too many of which are children," she said.
According to TMZ, Hadid said she recognizes the struggles of her fellow Palestinians, but she also feels sorry and accountable for her Jewish friends.
"I also feel a responsibility to my Jewish friends to make it clear, as I have before: While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person," she added.
Hadid claimed that the attacks happening in Israel have done no good for the 'Free Palestine' movement. She made sure that her prayers to Palestine did not include any harm to a Jewish person. She also added to always pray for innocent lives.
Hadid ended her post by saying, "Every human deserves basic rights, treatment and security; no matter their nationality, religion, ethnicity, or where they were born."
She turned off her comment section, as she shared it has a lot of personal and valid feelings involved.
Gigi, Bella Hadid's Stance on 'Anti-Israeli' Issue
Since then, Gigi and Bella Hadid have publicly advocated pro-Palestine for years, attending marches and demonstrations, and supported Palestinian causes.
According to The Daily Mail, Gigi cleared that being pro-Palestine does not mean antisemitic, as she and Bella are both half-Palestine. In 2021, Gigi and Bella were criticized for commenting on anti-Israel online, claiming Israel was not a country but a colonized land.
In March 2022, Gigi compared the Russian invasion of Ukraine to the Israeli-Palestinian on an Instagram post. She also announced on her Instagram that she would donate her earnings from fall fashion shows to the victims of Ukraine and Palestine.
Furthermore, in the recent Hamas attack, Gigi Hadid has actively showed sympathy for the victims of Israel and wishes everyone well.
Meanwhile Bella still has not spoken about the attack in Israel, but other celebrities, such as Gal Gadot and Natalie Portman, extended their support in Israel, as stated in Page Six.
