Lena Dunham is taking her talents to "Saturday Night Live" to maker her first hosting debut on the show March 8, according to Entertainment Online.
It was announced Tuesday that the star and creator of HBO's "Girls" will make her "SNL" hosting debut on March 8 joined by musical guests The National, E Online reported.
"Thank you for the SNL love. Dream come true," Dunham tweeted of her hosting debut. "Can't wait to debut my character "girl who googled serial killers all night & has lots to say"!"
She then tweeted two of SNL's cast members, saying, "ps @aidybryant @thesheertruth all the ladies of SNL I am cumming 4 u."
While this is Dunham's first hosting job, her character Hannah Horvath along with the rest of the cast has been spoofed on the long-running NBC show before, alongside with Tina Fey playing an Albanian woman who gives the girls advice, according to E Online.
Fey guest starred in the hilarious parody in September as an Albanian girl named Blerta who moves to Brooklyn to give some advice to the young stars of the hit series, E Online reported.
In the spoof, Noël Wells nailed her Dunham impression, so here's hoping we get to see the ladies have a Hannah-off, according to E Online.
Of course, Dunham watched the parody at Mindy Kaling's house and tweeted: "The SNL parody of Girls was a true honor," she wrote, later adding, "Very excited about the current lineup of SNL ladies. They are funny like whoa."
Kaling tweeted, "Watching @lenadunham enjoy Blerta on #snl's #girls in my living room."
This year has certainly been full of firsts for Dunham as she made her Vogue cover debut for the February issue of the high-end fashion magazine where she was dubbed "The New Queen of Comedy" on the cover, according to E Online.
"Girls," which is currently in the middle of its third season on HBO, has already been renewed for a fourth season, E Online reported.
