Reuters has reported that one of its news videographers, Issam Abdallah, has been killed by an alleged explosion in southern Lebanon on Friday (October 13).
"We are deeply saddened to learn that our videographer, Issam Abdallah, has been killed," the agency said. "We are urgently seeking more information, working with authorities in the region, and supporting Issam's family and colleagues."
Issam was part of a Reuters crew in southern Lebanon providing a live video signal before the confirmation of his death.

6 Other Journos Injured
It was revealed that an Israeli shell landed in a gathering of international journalists covering clashes on the border in south Lebanon after the Israeli military warned of a suspected armed infiltration of a Lebanese army observation post that it said it was responding to with artillery fire.
According to CNN, two other Reuters journalists, Thaer Al-Sudani and Maher Nazeh, were also injured in the incident.
Al Jazeera journalists Elie Brakhya and Carmen Joukhadar and two unidentified Agence France-Presse journalists were injured.
The Associated Press also reported that one of its photographers was at the scene and saw Abdallah's body.
The Israel Defense Force did not immediately respond to reporters' requests for comment.
The Committee to Protect Journalists said at least 10 journalists have been killed since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas War last weekend.
