The Maine mass shooting led to the death of over 18 innocent civilians. As of writing, hundreds of investigators are still looking for the shooter behind the deadly attack in Lewiston, Maine.

The local police department announced that the suspect had been identified as 40-year-old Robert C. Card. Cops warned residents that they should always be on the lookout and consider this man as armed and dangerous.

According to USA Today's latest report, the mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine, happened on Wednesday, Oct. 25. Because of this, school districts decided to cancel classes.

Meanwhile, law enforcement authorities warned residents and other people in Lewiston to lock their doors and avoid going outside as much as possible since Robert C. Card is still at large.

As of writing, limited information about the shooter is known. These include him possibly being an Army Reservist who is stationed out of Saco, Maine.

The New York Post reported that Card could be suffering from mental health issues. Based on previous reports, the shooter is allegedly hearing voices.

There was even an instance when Card threatened the military training base in Saco, saying that he would shoot everyone there, as claimed by sources familiar with Robert.

Another thing that the police disclosed about Robert is that he is believed to be a firearms instructor at a National Guard facility in Saco.

When it comes to educational background, Card reportedly studied engineering at the University of Maine (2001-2004). Meanwhile, his criminal records only showed two speeding tickets, which happened between 2001 and 2002.

The Maine State Police announced that they already ordered over 100 investigators in order to manhunt Robert C. Card.

Investigators were able to acquire a mugshot of the suspect. Based on the image, Robert is white-skinned and has a mustache and beard, as well as short hair.

On the other hand, the Lewiston Police claimed that they found a white SUV that is believed to be driven by the mass shooter.

The vehicle was specifically seen in Lisbon, which is around eight miles away from Lewiston.
