A man in Long Island was arrested on Wednesday for forcing a woman and teenager into prostitution, the New York Daily News reported.
During a search of Andy Gayot's home in Lindenhurt -- on suspicion of it being a prostitution base -- authorities discovered a 15-year-old runaway girl and 21-year-old woman. Authorities said they were being forced into sexual acts and being held in the house against their will.
Gayot, 35, was charged with compelling prostitution, promoting prostitution, unlawful imprisonment, rape in the third degree, possession of a weapon, and other felony and misdemeanor charges.
He is scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
According to the Daily News, a source in Suffolk said the runaway teen was missing for six months. She was allegedly staying with Gayot for four of those months, where she was fed drugs and forced into prostitution.
The source also said police found weapons, like hammers and stun guns, that were used to beat them women into submission.
The 21-year-old woman had been forced into prostitution for about a year, according to Lt. Robert Edwards.
Edwards did not specifically detail how Gayot met the women, but told Newsday there was a "narcotics element" to their introduction.
Both victims were from Long Island but their identities have not been released.
