T-Mobile announced that it will soon remove its popular pet tracking service.
This means that the American broadband company's consumers with pets now need to find other alternatives before or after the SyncUP PETS is removed.
If you are among T-Mobile's pet owner clients, here are the latest updates it provides.
T-Mobile to Remove Pet Tracking Service, but Why?
According to Android Authority's latest report, T-Mobile plans to shut down its SyncUP PETS service this coming Nov. 10. This means that users only have around two weeks before the pet tracking service is removed.
People who already knew about the SyncUP PETS removal said that T-Mobile's official website no longer offers this pet tracking service on its listings.
Once the SyncUP PETS is removed, T-Mobile users will lose their connection to the network after some time. Phone Arena reported that consumers no longer have to do anything since the internet service provider will do everything for them.
T-Mobile also clarified that users who have SyncUP PETS devices are not required to return them. The American broadband company added that users will receive a text message once the removal of SyncUP PETS begins.
For those who are wondering why T-Mobile is removing this pet tracking network, the company didn't provide an explanation. However, critics said that it could be an effort to encourage users to transfer to the SyncUP Tracker.
The SyncUP PETS is around 50%v cheaper compared to the SyncUP Tracker. Based on the comments of consumers, they are not really happy with the SyncUP Tracker because it is quite expensive, but almost the same as SyncUP PETS.
What SyncUP PETS Users Should Do
Since T-Mobile said that it will handle all the things needed to be done when SyncUP PETS is removed, the only thing that users can do is find alternatives.
The SyncUP PETS is a network that relies on a device, which is placed on the animal's collar. Its network allows pet owners to track their pets at all times.
Based on its function, the best alternatives that T-Mobile can rely on are the Apple AirTag, Tile, and other tracking devices. But, if you already trained your dogs or cats well, then you can try trusting them.
