Pakistani senator Afnan Ullah Khan was removed from X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, after he shared a photo of Adolf Hitler while suggesting the world now knew "why he did what he did" during the Holocaust when he killed millions of Jews.
The post was published on Sunday (October 29), but it has since been deleted after a quick backlash from social media users, including those who display a Palestinian flag, according to the Jerusalem Post.
"This is bad, very bad," a user said. "Nazism was as bad as Zionism, both must be condemned unequivocally."
The Wilson Center South Asia institute director Michael Kugelman was quoted by WION, saying that the post was "pure unadulterated hate."
"[Khan]'s party - one of the biggest and most established in Pakistan, and a big part of the previous ruling coalition - should condemn it," he added.
Khan Inciting Antisemitism
In another tweet, the senator called US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy a "poor excuse for a human being" after the Republican hopeful expressed his support for Israel.
"Your roots make you an exemplary sycophant but [no] matter what you do and how hard you do flattery, you are not going to become the US president," Khan added. "For Israelis, you are still a lowlife disposable Goyim."
The New York Post also reported that he shared a picture of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with blood on his lips as he held up food from fast food chain McDonald's while using the company's tagline, "I'm lovin' it," as its caption.
