According to The Guardian's latest report, Bezos explained that he's moving to Miami because he wants to be near his beloved parents, as well as his space company Blue Origin's Cape Canaveral operations.

"As exciting as the move is, it's an emotional decision for me. Seattle, you will always have a piece of my heart," he said via his official Instagram post.

Bezos said that Seattle has been his home since 1994, the year when Amazon was just being established. The Amazon leader added that he has lived in Seattle longer than he lived anywhere else.

Jeff also shared that he was able to create amazing memories in Amazon's home state. But, since his parents already moved to Miami, the billionaire had to follow them.

Jeff Bezos also said that his fiancee, Lauren Sanches, a 53-year-old media personality, will also follow him to Florida.

"I want to be close to my parents, and Lauren and I love Miami," added the Amazon founder.

Aside from the luxurious mansion, the billionaire also bought a $68 million estate. Sources said that the two properties combined take up more than 3 acres of land on the man-made barrier isle Indian Creek Island.

The mansion even has some maids' quarters and six garage spaces.
