UNC, on a nine-game winning streak, returned this week to the national rankings at No. 19. The Tar Heels (20-7) followed an upset win against No. 6 Duke with a 105-72 rout of Wake Forest on Saturday. UNC is getting hot at the right time and is only two wins away from earning a double-bye in the ACC tournament, according to ESPN.

"Everything looks so much better when the ball goes in the basket," Tar Heels coach Roy Williams said, via ESPN. "And that's what happened (on Saturday). We've played pretty good basketball here in this whole stretch, not just in these eight days."

With March around the corner, UNC is focused on closing out the regular season on a strong note.

"Nobody on this team wants to go back to that place," junior forward James Michael McAdoo said. "We don't want to have a bunch of what-ifs at this point in the season. We all have big goals and aspirations, so I think that just helps us become hungrier."

NC State (17-10), meanwhile, ended their two-game losing streak with a win on Saturday against Virginia Tech. The unranked Wolfpack came away with a 71-64 victory in the contest to help bolster their confidence for Wednesday's interstate rivalry game.

Sophomore forward T.J. Warren leads the Wolfpack in both scoring (23.3 ppg) and rebounds (7.1 rpg). He's played great over the last four games, where he's averaged 27.0 points, including a 31-point game against Tech.

"T.J. was aggressive and did a great job," NC State coach Mark Gottfried told the school website. "He does so much to help our team. He's a tough player to defend."
