Former U.S. President Barack Obama is now criticized after sharing his opinion about the worsening Israel-Hamas war.
He shared his thoughts during an interview with an alumni of his administration on the "Pod Save America."
The ex-POTUS said that what the Hamas terrorist group said should be condemned, but Obama added that before people start contextualizing the issue, they need to know more about the history.
Barack Obama Criticized for His Israel-Hamas War Opinion
According to Fox News' latest report, Obama said that all people who are involved or just talking about the Israel-Hamas war are complicit to some degree.
The former American leader explained that the attack of Hamas on Oct. 7 was horrifying and had no justification. But, he added that what Palestinians are experiencing is also unbearable.
"What is also true is that there is a history of the Jewish people that may be dismissed unless your grandparents, or your great-great-grandparents, or your uncle or your aunt tell you stories about the madness of antisemitism," added Obama.
"And what is true is that there are people right now that are dying who have nothing to do with what Hamas did," he added.
Obama also explained that if the world wants to solve the problem between Palestine and Israel, the entire truth should be taken by everyone.
This means admitting that nobody's hands are clean and that all people are complicit to some degree.
Many critics were not happy with what Obama, especially the part where he called everyone complicit.
What Americans Say About Obama's Opinion
Many critics, especially on Twitter, shared their disappointment regarding Obama's opinion about the Israel-Hamas war.
One of them said that before he started lecturing and claiming that people involved in the Israel-Hamas conflict are complicit, he shouldn't have enabled Iranians and airlifting billions of dollars to them.
Meanwhile, others said that they were expecting a "sharper" analysis from the former president since he is considered among the smartest American leaders.
