According to The Daily Star's latest report, the body double of Vladimir Putin has been handling Russia since the end of October. However, a source claimed that this fake Putin has been confirmed to be suffering from the novel coronavirus.
The anonymous individual said, via the General SVR Telegram channel, that Putin's body double keeps having to be revived because of his illness.
"Doctors tried to bring the double back to normal by giving him medications that relieved his symptoms, but this did not help much; he complained of severe weakness and dizziness," said the source.
The source added that this revelation is causing chaos inside the Kremlin. Aside from this, he also claimed that a secret memorial service was held for the real Vladimir Putin before the body double started to gravely suffer from COVID-19.
Another rumor that the source shared is that Vladimir's replacement could soon be "wheeled out" for public appearances. He added that the Russian government is trying to cover up the situation of Putin's body double by doing a motorcade around the country.
"The president's motorcade can travel anytime and anywhere, demonstrating the active activity of the 'leader' but Putin is dead, and his double is sick with Covid and felt very unwell," claimed the source.

CNBC reported that when Russian officials were asked about their thoughts regarding these unbelievable speculations, they just laughed at them.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that everything is fine with Vladimir Putin, confirming that they are not using a body double to replace the Russian president.
He added that the speculations being spread by the source belong to the category of "absurd information hoaxes." Peskov jokingly said that the information shared evokes nothing but a smile.
