Ben and Jerry's is reminding everyone that we won't have to suffer through winter for much longer by introducing four new ice cream flavors. The Vermont brand unveiled their "Core" line on Feb. 26, the New York Daily News reports.
The new ice cream line will have two flavors (one on each side of the container) with a fudge, caramel or real raspberry jam center. The ice cream will also have bits of brownies or candy scattered throughout.
"With the nation caught amidst an impressive winter, complete with polar cortexes, feet of snow in some places and a country-wide cold snap, there's one sure sign that spring can't be far away... Ben & Jerry's proudly announced its brand new line with four new flavors, and the company believes it will resonate resoundingly with its 'core' customers," a press release reads.
The "Core" line is said to be modeled after the popular Karamel Sutra flavor. According to the Daily News, the pints will hit stores this month and will cost $4.39. In the Spring, Ben & Jerry's scoop shops will also role out customizable "Core Sundaes," where customers can get a fudge or caramel core between any two flavors.
"We are always looking to make something bigger and better for our fans," Eric Fredette, lead developer for Ben & Jerry's said in a press release. "We wanted to blow out the concept of fun flavors, chunks and swirls and take it over the top."
The new "Core" flavors are:
Hazed & Confused: chocolate and hazelnut ice creams with fudge chips and a hazelnut fudge core
That's My Jam: raspberry and chocolate ice creams with fudge chips and a raspberry core
Peanut Butter Fudge: chocolate and peanut butter ice creams with mini peanut butter cups and a peanut butter fudge core
Salted Caramel: sweet cream ice cream with blonde brownies and a salty caramel core
