A prominent Hollywood TV producer's son allegedly dismembers a woman. Authorities said that the victim's dismembered torso was recovered several miles away from the Los Angeles residence of the suspect.
The man was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 8, after the dismembered body was found by the Los Angeles Police Department. Here's what authorities confirmed so far.
Hollywood Producer's Son Allegedly Dismembers Woman
According to The Deadline's latest report, the victim was identified as Samuel Haskell Jr., who is the son of Sam Haskell Sr., a former Hollywood agent.
The suspect's father currently serves as the President of Magnolia Hill Productions; the production company behind some Dolly Parton specials, such as "Donny Parton's Coat of Many Colors," and "Dolly Parton's Magic Mountain Christmas."
TMZ reported that the victim hasn't been identified yet. But, the criminal investigation against the ex-Hollywood producer's son is already searching through his Tarzana home.
The LAPD said that the dismembered torso of a woman was found by a homeless person while checking a strip mall dumpster. The human remains were specifically discovered in Encino; it was inside a garbage bag.
Los Angeles Police Department officals said that Haskell Jr. became the main suspect in the horrifying crime after video evidence showed a vehicle fleeing the scene. Cops said that the car information led them to the house of the Hollywood producer's son.
When they visited the suspect's house, they discovered blood evidence and other signs of crime. Because of this, Haskell Jr. was booked on one count of murder suspicion.
He was tracked by the police and was arrested at the Topanga mall.

Who's the Victim Haskell Jr.?
Although authorities are still trying to identify the dismembered woman, some are already making speculations since the wife and in-laws of the suspect are still missing (hopefully the victim wasn't what other people think who would be).
Haskell Jr.'s wife, Mei Haskell, has three elementary-aged children, who are already ruled out since they are safe in police custody.
While waiting for the victim's identity, Haskell Jr. is being held on $2 million bail. The Los Angeles Police Department said that he will be trialed on Nov. 13.
