She had a son, David Willian Desmond, with her ex-husband David Desmond (first husband).
However, Maryanne and Desmond decided to get a divorce in 1980. After that, she decided to marry John J. Barry in 1982.

Law enforcement officials announced that Maryanne's dead body was found on Monday morning at her residence in New York City.
