Amazon confirmed that it will soon sell cars online. If you are a long-time consumer of Amazon Inc., then you already know that its online marketplace offers a hefty amount of products.
Items span from gadgets, medicines, wines, etc. But, the e-commerce giant hasn't tried selling vehicles. Now, the American multinational tech firm confirmed that cars will soon be available for purchase on its online platform.
Once this new shopping experience is rolled out, it is expected to greatly benefit consumers; saving them from the inconvenience of visiting physical auto stores.
Amazon Will Finally Sell Cars Online!
According to The Verge's latest report, Amazon announced that cars will be sold on its online platform as soon as 2024. As of writing, the retailer allows customers to browse car showrooms, as well as compare vehicle prices.
However, Amazon doesn't really allow people to buy vehicles directly from its website. This is about to change soon, thanks to the newest effort of the American retailer.
"This new shopping experience will create another way for dealers to build awareness of their selection and offer convenience to their customers," said Amazon.
Once the new shopping experience is implemented, Amazon will start selling Hyundai's vehicles. As of writing, the e-commerce giant hasn't confirmed when will other car brands arrive on its marketplace.
This initiative of Amazon is a clear sign that the American retailer is slowly moving into the car space. Aside from selling vehicles, Amazon also confirmed that its Alexa voice assistance will be available in Hyundai vehicles as soon as 2025.

Will Amazon Online Car Selling Be Safe?
Although Amazon's online marketplace is also suffering from scammers, the vehicles that it will sell in 2024 will be quite different.
This is because American e-commerce will partner with car dealers; consumers can either pick up their ordered cars or have them delivered by their local dealerships.
Mike Sullivan, the president of some Los Angeles-based car dealerships, shared his excitement regarding Amazon's upcoming online car sale experience.
"They've led the way in delivering customer convenience, and now they're going to help us take our customer experience to the next level," said Sullivan via Tech Crunch.
"Amazon also brings massive reach and marketing power to connect to more customers. We can't wait to get started," he added.
