Omid Scobie's book "Endgame" creates issues within the royal family. With that, King Charles has to prepare for crisis talks regarding the racism allegations he faces because of the controversial title.
42-year-old British journalist and writer Omid Scobie released his controversial book "Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival" on November 28.
What he said in his book led to criticisms against King Charles and other members of the British Royal Family. Because of this, the British ruler needed to prepare for the public anger that Omid Scobie's book caused.
Omid Scobie's 'Endgame' Book Puts King Charles on Spotlight
According to The Daily Mail UK, King Charles and Catherine, Princess of Wales, allegedly made racist remarks regarding the skin color of the son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Archie.
This is what is stated in the Dutch edition of Omid Scobie's "Endgame" book. BBC News reported that the allegations were shared by Prince Harry and her wife, Meghan, during an interview with Oprah back in 2021.
However, the context and circumstances of the rumored interview regarding their son's skin color are still unclear. As of writing, Harry and Meghan haven't released any public statement regarding the alleged comment of King Charles on their beloved baby's skin color.
But, some sources who claim to be close to the Duchess of Sussex said that Meghan has no intention of making the names in the book public. They are insisting that the letters leaked to Omid Scobie didn't come from the side of Meghan.
Since the issue involving King Charles, Meghan, and Prince Harry is a very serious topic, an anonymous source close to the British Royal Family said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should start speaking publicly about the racism allegations against the U.K. ruler.
"For the couple that talked about 'death by a thousand no comments', the silence at this point is deafening," said the source.
Omid Scobie Denies Dropping Names
Omid Scobie said that in the English version of his book, he only said that two people were involved and that he knew their identities. However, the author never mentioned their exact names because of legal reasons.
But, in the Dutch version of "Endgame," titled "Eindstrijd," the two Royal Family members were identified: King Charles and Catherine.
"All of this is frustrating because it feeds into something that couldn't be further from the truth. And also, quite frankly, I've always felt the names weren't needed to have this discussion," said Scobie.
As of writing, Omid Scobie is accused of acting as a "mouthpiece" for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which he strongly denies, saying that he isn't "Meg's pal."
