The tech firm's report explained how hackers are taking advantage of a new vulnerability in iOS (iPhone operating system) to spy on the digital keyboards of users.

Certo Software claimed that this exploit enables hackers to avoid Apple's stringent security measures to steal sensitive details. If you are an iPhone user, here's what you need to know about the iOS vulnerability.

According to Fox News' latest report, Certo Software explained that the iOS vulnerability allows hackers to spy on keyboard activities. First, they install a third-party keyboard that has a keylogger into iPhones.

Cybercriminals will disguise this keylogger in a small app. After that, they will use Apple's TestFlight tool for the malicious app, which will enable them to bypass the gadget maker's security checks.

After that, it's up to users if they will be fooled to download those malicious apps containing the keylogger from hackers. If they do, cyberattackers will be able to spy on their keyboard activities.

Toms Guide reported that Certo Software decided to check this malicious activity after receiving multiple reports of cyberstalking incidents.

Based on the complaints they received, victims claimed that hackers knew everything they had typed into their iOS smartphones.

When the British cybersecurity tech firm analyzed the devices of affected users, they discovered that all had third-party keyboards containing the malicious keylogger.

What Certo Software discovered clearly shows that hackers can really spy on iPhone users' keyboard activities, which is quite alarming since keyboard activities can reveal their passwords and other sensitive information.
