Robin Thicke is trying to win Paula Patton back. The "Blurred Lines" singer performed for the first time since their separation was announced and couldn't help but get a little emotional on stage. During a concert in Fairfax, Va., Thicke opened up about his marital problems telling the crowd that he was trying to "get my girl back."
"For y'all that don't know, me and my wife separated, but I'm trying to get my girl back," he said adding that she was "a good woman."
"It's hard to say it in front of everybody," Thicke continued.
He then told the crowd that he wanted to dedicate the song "Lost Without You" - which he ended up singing - to Patton.
On Feb. 24 the couple released a joint statement announcing their separation. It was speculated for months that their marriage was on the rocks after pictures surfaced of the singer partying with other women.
"We will always love each other and be best friends," they said, US Weekly reports. "However, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
According to TMZ, Patton was the one who initiated the separation and Thicke reluctantly agreed to it. Sources told the site that he canceled three of his concerts so he could talk to her and try to change her mind.
When the "Feel Good" singer realized his wife wasn't budging he agreed to announce their split. Sources told MediaTakeOut that the singer's ego played a huge factor in their separation.
"Robin always thought highly of himself, but ever since [his recent single] 'Blurred Lines,' the man has taken it up to LEVEL 10," the source said. "Robin has been openly cheating on Paula. He's not trying to be subtle about it, he's trying to f**k anything walking."
