Gor Adamyan's parents were driving on Sierra Highway in Lancaster when they encountered the suspects in traffic, leading to a fatal shooting that unfolded around 7:30 p.m. local time. The suspects, identified as 29-year-old Byron Burkhurt and 27-year-old Alexandria Gentile, allegedly harassed the family through several surface streets. The situation escalated when the suspect driver pulled up alongside the family's car and began shooting, hitting Gor in the torso.

Despite the immediate efforts of his parents to rush him to a local hospital, Gor Adamyan was pronounced dead. The Mayor of Lancaster, R. Rex Parris, expressed the community's shock, stating that this tragedy could have befallen any family.

On Monday, the suspects were identified and subsequently apprehended. They were then booked at the Los Angeles County Jail on suspicion of murder. According to the investigation, the crime-fighting technology that was installed in Lancaster earlier this year played a vital role in locating the suspects.

In accordance with the mother, the suspects allegedly pursued their vehicle and proceeded to discharge approximately eight rounds into it, according to ABC News.

Gor Adamyan's Family Calls For Justice

New information has come to light as Gor's parents have revealed that the 4-year-old was not originally intended to join them on their trip to the grocery store. The young boy's unwavering determination to not be left behind compelled his parents to bring him along, a choice they now find themselves regretting profoundly.

In response to this senseless act of violence, Gor's family is calling for the maximum punishment for the suspects, expressing a desire for them to be incarcerated for life without the possibility of parole. A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist the family with funeral expenses.

This unfortunate incident contributes to the alarming pattern of gun violence affecting children across the United States. Gor Adamyan has become one of the many victims of gun violence this year.
