Turkey Claims to Have Arrested Over 30 Israel Mossad Spies; Officials Accuse Them of Planning to Kidnap, Assault Foreign Nationals

The arrests happened after Iran executed an Israel Mossad agent.

Turkey claimed that it arrested over 30 Israel Mossad spies. As of writing, Turkey and Israel are fighting with one another because of the ongoing war in the Middle East.

Turkey is considered to be a close ally of Iran, one of the countries that strongly support Palestinians against Israelis when it comes to occupying the Gaza Strip.

This was noticeable when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as an individual like Adolf Hitler, the German Fuhrer who killed millions of Jews.

Now, the conflict between Turkey and Israel could further intensify as the Turkish government claims that it detained spies working for Israel's Mossad intelligence agency.

According to Fox News' latest report, Turkey announced on Tuesday, Jan. 2, that it arrested a total of 33 spies allegedly working for Israel's Mossad intelligence organization.

Turkish officials believe that these spies were planning to assault and kidnap foreign nationals who are staying in the Middle Eastern country.

"We will never allow espionage activities carried out against the national unity and solidarity of our country," said Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

He added that he and other officials determined that the Israeli intelligence organization was planning to carry out pursuit, assault, kidnapping, reconnaissance, and other tactical tasks against foreign nationals in Turkey.

"During the searches carried out during the operation; 143,830 euros, 23,680 dollars, various amounts of cash from different countries, 1 unlicensed gun, a large number of cartridges and digital materials were seized," said the Turkish interior minister.

Yerlikaya stated that the arrests against the alleged Israeli spies were conducted after the Turkish police raided 57 locations in eight provinces as part of its so-called Operation Mole.

Aside from Turkey, Israel is also accused of spying on Iran. Previously, NDTV reported that Iran executed an Israel Mossad agent.

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) confirmed that the Israeli spy was killed on Saturday, Dec. 30.

IRNA stated that the Israel Mossad agent allegedly communicated with foreign services. The Iranian news agency added that this spy collected classified information.

Aside from this, IRNA also claimed that the Israeli agent participated with associates and provided documents to foreign services, especially the Israeli intelligence agency.
