Newly unsealed court documents in a defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell, the former associate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, have revealed the names of individuals previously known as "John and Jane Does."
Among the names disclosed are former US Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, as well as Prince Andrew. The documents also mention an alleged encounter between Epstein's victim, Johanna Sjoberg, and the late pop icon Michael Jackson, as per to Daily Mail.
Jeffrey Epstein Newly Unsealed Court Documents Revealed
Johanna Sjoberg, who had previously accused Prince Andrew of groping her breast with a puppet, stated in the newly released depositions that she had met Michael Jackson while she was with Epstein. When asked where they had met, Sjoberg responded, "At his house in Palm Beach. At Jeffrey's house in Palm Beach." However, she clarified that she did not massage the late King of Pop, providing no further details about the meeting.
Epstein's Palm Beach mansion, which is reportedly where Sjoberg encountered Jackson, was one of the locations where Epstein sexually abused young girls. The property, situated just over a mile from Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago, was recently sold for $18 million after being listed for $21.995 million. A Florida-based developer plans to demolish the existing house and build a new one in its place.
The court documents also mention revived lawsuits from two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who allege that Michael Jackson sexually abused them when they were children. A California appeals court ruled that the lawsuits should not have been dismissed by a lower court, stating that the Jackson-owned corporations had a responsibility to protect the alleged victims. Robson and Safechuck gained wider attention after appearing in the controversial 2019 HBO documentary "Leaving Neverland."
In addition to the disclosures about Jackson and the two former Presidents, the unsealed documents contain other intriguing details. Sjoberg recalled Epstein telling her that Bill Clinton "likes them young," while magician David Copperfield allegedly performed tricks for Epstein and asked Sjoberg if she knew that Epstein paid women to procure other girls for him.
An email from Epstein to Maxwell also surfaced, urging her to discredit reports of physicist Professor Stephen Hawking participating in a pedophile orgy on Epstein's private island in 2008, according to Independent.
Hairdresser Denies Celebrity Massages at Epstein's Events
Johanna Sjoberg, currently working as a hairdresser in Florida, has previously stated that Maxwell recruited her to provide massages for Epstein in 2001. Sjoberg's alleged encounter with Prince Andrew at Epstein's mansion during Easter 2001 has drawn significant attention. However, in the depositions, she denied giving massages to famous men like George Lucas and Donald Trump at an Epstein-hosted party.
These newly released court documents are expected to reveal the names of over 150 associates of Jeffrey Epstein, shedding light on their connections to the disgraced financier. While the documents implicate prominent figures, including Trump, Clinton, and Prince Andrew, no specific allegations of wrongdoing have been made against them in the released records.
The disclosure of these documents follows a decision by US judge Loretta Preska, who ordered that the names must be unsealed. The materials will continue to be released over the upcoming days, potentially providing further insight into the disturbing actions of Epstein and his associates.
The revelations have reignited public interest in the case, leaving many eager for more information about the alleged encounters involving Epstein's victims and the famous individuals named in the documents, USA Today reported.
