Logan Paul CryptoZoo Scam Update: YouTuber-Boxer Launches Buyback Program—Here's the Catch

However, the buyback program has a catch.

Before Logan Paul's recent big fights against Dillon Danis and Rey Mysterio, the YouTuber-turned-boxer already made huge headlines after launching his own NFT project called "CryptoZoo."

Before CryptoZoo arrived, Logan Paul purchased non-fungible tokens; buying over $2 million worth of NFTs. But, he wasn't satisfied with this and decided to create his own NFT. He even promised that CryptoZoo "could be one of the biggest things" he can do and could be the next big thing in the crypto industry. However, his CryptoZoo project fell apart.

Because of this, crypto consumers who spent lots of money on CryptoZoo called the NFT project a scam, accusing Logan Paul of rug-pulling. Now, the YouTuber-boxer wants to make amends by launching the CryptoZoo buyback program. But, here's the catch.

On Friday, Jan. 5, Logan Paul announced his CryptoZoo buyback program. The YouTuber-boxer said that he is excited to confirm that he'll keep his promise of buying back Base Animal and Base Egg CryptoZoo NFTs.

To excite his fans, he said that he would purchase these NFTs for their original prices. Logan said that people who spent money on CryptoZoo can file their claims until Feb. 8.

"With this buy-back program, I am personally committing more than $2.3 million to buy back Base Eggs and Base Animals from every person who intended to play CryptoZoo," said the online influencer via his official X post.

Paul empathized with affected NFT consumers, saying that just like them, he was "highly disappointed" that the crypto game wasn't able to deliver what it promised.

"I never made a single penny from the project, period. In fact, the opposite is true, because I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to make it happen," said Logan.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer explained that based on an extensive forensic investigation, CryptoZoo was derailed by malicious actors. Aside from them, some people they know also betrayed their CrytoZoo team; internally sabotaging the NFT game.

For many NFT fans who were fooled by the CryptoZoo scam, the latest buyback program is a good effort to make amends with them. However, there's a catch.

According to TechCrunch, people who file their CryptoZoo NFT buyback claims can't file a lawsuit against Logan Paul.

Via his official CryptoZoo scam buyback website, Logan's team said before claimants can receive their money back, they need to waive any "actual or anticipated claims" against the celebrity.

Aside from Logan, claims/complaints against the YouTuber-turned-boxer's affiliates, agents, partners, personnel, employees, service providers, and representatives should be waived as well.
