Sam Altman rarely uses ChatGPT, the generative AI developed by the company he leads. This is quite surprising since it is expected for people to take advantage of the things they created or greatly contributed to.
Instead, the OpenAI CEO revealed his most-used application. He shared this surprising fact about him when he was invited to a recent episode of Gates' podcast.
During their discussion, Sam Altman and Bill Gates talked about their phone habits. Here's what the two billionaires revealed.
Sam Altman Reveals His Most-Used App, But It's Not ChatGPT
According to Business Insider's latest report, it turns out that messaging apps are the ones usually used by Sam Altman and Bill Gates.
The OpenAI CEO said that his most-used app on his smartphone is Slack. He shared that he accesses this cloud-based team communication platform every day, "all day."
Sam Altman even confirmed that he uses Slack more compared to his email. He jokingly said that he hoped he could use ChatGPT regularly.
"I wish I could say ChatGPT," said the tech executive.
Sam Altman explained that he didn't include a browser since he doesn't consider it as an app. If it were, it would be his most-used application, making Slack his second.
The OpenAI CEO didn't explain why he doesn't usually use ChatGPT. But, since he's the company's chief executive officer, this is already self-explanatory.
"I'm on Slack all day," said the tech billionaire via Yahoo Tech.
Meanwhile, Bill Gates also shared his most-used app. The Microsoft founder stated that he's most frequently accessing Outlook.
"I'm this old-style email guy. Either that or the browser because, of course, a lot of my news is coming through the browser," said Bill Gates.
Sam Altman, Bill Gates Discuss AI Concerns
After sharing their most-used apps, Bill Gates and Sam Altman discussed their AI concerns.
The OpenAI CEO said that he worries about how quickly people need to adjust as AI technologies arrive and change their lives, as well as their work.
"Each technological revolution has gotten faster, and this will be the fastest by far," explained Altman.
He added that he finds the speed with which people need to adapt so they can properly adjust to the arrival of new artificial intelligence.
