For the past few months, the PCSO has been ridiculed by Filipinos. This is because of the speculations claiming the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office still has anomalies.
In the past years, PCSO also faced rumors alleging them to fake lottery winners so they could get the grand prizes for themselves. Although it wasn't really proven that PCSO is cheating Filipinos, the agency is still facing such allegations.
In its latest Facebook post, netizens ridiculed PCSO because of the photo it posted that was supposed to show the winner of the Lotto 6/42.
But, many Filipinos don't believe the photo, claiming that it was edited. Here's what netizens say about PCSO's viral FB post.
PCSO Ridiculed by Filipinos After Posting Lottery Winner's Photo
On Wednesday, Jan. 17, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office posted a photo of the latest Lotto 6/42 winner together with a PCSO staff.
In the post, you can see that the staff handed a check to the lucky lottery winner. PCSO said that the bettor from San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, won the Lotto 6/42 on December 28, 2023.
She took home over P43 Million (more than $749,000).
"The 47-year-old housewife bagged the jackpot after correctly guessing the winning numbers, 18-34-01-11-28-04, taken from her family's birthdates and two other special numbers, 28 and 34," said PCSO via its official Facebook post.
"She disclosed that she plans to invest her winnings in business, buy a new home, and deposit the rest into her two children's savings accounts," added the charity agency.
However, instead of congratulating the winner, many Filipino netizens ridiculed PCSO for the image it posted.

Was PCSO Lottery Winner Photo Edited?
PCSO's viral Facebook post already already generated over 41,000 shares, 7,100 comments, and 41,000 reactions from Filipino netizens.
In the comment section, many Pinoy Facebook users said that they would not be fooled by PCSO just by posting a suspicious image of the winner and one of their employees.
The image is not really low-quality. In fact, you can see the details of the chair and decorations behind the winner and the PCSO staff.
The PCSO employee doesn't seem like she was edited in the photo; the lights and shadows look genuine. However, the winner is quite suspicious.
If you zoom in on the winner, you can notice that blurs on her arms, shoulders, and clothes. There are also unnatural lines on her pencil-cut skirt.
Aside from these, some edited areas on her hair are also noticeable. Overall, the winner looks like she was just cropped and then edited into the image.
These were noticed by many Filipino netizens, who claimed that the winner was just a standee. Others sarcastically said that the editor did a great job using Photoshop.
Because of the alleged edits on the image PCSO posted, Filipinos called the winner the "edited bettor."
As of writing, PCSO hasn't made an official statement regarding the viral photo of the Lotto 6/42 winner.
