Prince William Spotted Visiting Kate in Hospital

Queen Camilla says King Charles is ‘fine’ and looking to get back to work after next week’s surgery.

After Wednesday's (January 17) surprise double health announcement from the House of Windsor, Prince William was spotted visiting his wife Catherine at the London Clinic after undergoing what Kensington Palace called a scheduled abdominal surgery this week.

The BBC reported that the Prince of Wales drove his way to the hospital on Thursday (January 18) to briefly check on his wife before leaving to pick up their three children in primary school.

It was earlier reported that the Princess of Wales would remain in hospital for about two weeks before spending the remainder of her two-month recovery period in Windsor Castle.

Catherine was scheduled to return to royal duties after Easter, while William has postponed his public engagements to look after his wife and children.

Camilla about Charles's Health: 'He's Fine'

Meanwhile, Queen Camilla was in Scotland on Thursday to visit the Aberdeen Art Gallery alone. Upon arrival, the Lord Provost of Aberdeen asked the queen about the health of her husband, King Charles III.

"He's fine, thank you very much," she replied, adding that he was "looking forward to getting back to work" after a procedure sorting out the king's enlarged prostate.

Both Charles and Catherine were last seen publicly during the royal family's Christmas Day prayer service at the family's Sandringham estate.

Many royal observers noticed the unprecedented openness of the Windsors to inform the public the state of their health. In particular, pundits with knowledge of the British royal family were saying that - particularly for the king - "the Firm," as the British royal family was also called, wanted to raise public awareness about prostate problems, as well as to remove any reluctance to talk about it and to encourage more men to get their own checks
