The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said on Friday (January 19) that they had intercepted what they believed to be an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) launched by Hezbollah.
According to The Times of Israel, the drone was shot down by Israel's Iron Dome air defense system off the coast of Acre without any sirens warning nearby residents.

Meanwhile, the IDF announced that it also carried out a wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. Fighter jets struck sites in Ramyah, which included military buildings and other infrastructure belonging to the terror group.
The IDF also conducted airstrikes and shelling against Hezbollah observation posts and other infrastructure in Houla and Kafr Kila, as well as Syrian Army positions in response to rocket fire on the Golan Heights.
