School Bus Carrying 12 Kids Crashes Into Ditch In Washington

A school bus carrying 12 students crashed into a ditch in Washington state on Monday, Fox News reported.

The incident occurred around 7 a.m. this morning as the bus was on it's way to pick up more kids.

According to local media reports, at least one child was injured. The King County Sheriff's Office said one student was treated for a minor wrist injury but mentioned no other injuries.

Officials said all of the students were placed on a different bus by 8:15 a.m. and on their way to Skyline High School.

A tow truck was also called to pull the truck from the ditch.

Earlier this month, a car crash involving a school bus and sports utility vehicle left three kids and one adult dead in Louisiana.

Ladonna Cheatham, 36, was reportedly in her 2004 Kia Sorrento around 11:40 a.m. on Highway 90 when she lost control of her car, smashing into a Lafayette Parish school bus.

Cheatham, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from her car.

Additionally, Destiny Cheatham, 6, Dwayne Escort, 7, and Marcus Cheatham, 16, were also not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the SUV.

St. Mary Parish coroners pronounced all four victims dead at the scene.
