The new Apple Vision Pro is quite exciting since it takes the AR gadget experience of users to the next level. While it's true that this new wearable tech brings new excitement, it also brings new concerns, especially for those who fear radio frequency.
Many people might ask if Apple Vision Pro's WiFi and Bluetooth could negatively affect their health; and if it can cook their brains in the worst case scenario.
But, can using the Apple Vision Pro affect your brain? Here's what users need to know.
Will Apple Vision Pro's WiFi and Bluetooth cook your brain?
Apple Insider's Mike Wuerthele, who specializes in ionizing radiation exposure measurement, control, and assessment, explained why Apple Vision Pro's Bluetooth and WiFi can't cook your brain.
He clarified that this new AR gadget is not radioactive and isn't radiologically decaying in any way. Mike explained that tissue can be damaged by extremely high levels of RF radiation many magnitudes higher than what Apple Vision can generate.
However, this scenario that can be seen in a microwave isn't possible for the Apple Vision Pro and other wireless technologies that use WiFi and Bluetooth.
Aside from this, he also explained that people may get more radio frequency exposure when they are holding their smartphones next to their ears when calling or when they're inside their vehicles.
Mike stated that they are more at risk of developing a health condition if they commute daily, get three dental x-rays per year, fly commercially, or have a basement near a granite deposit.
Mike Wuerthele said that if people are still concerned that the new Apple Vision Pro can negatively affect their health, they can just avoid spending too much time using it every day.
Can Apple Vision Pro affect your health?
Yes, the new Apple Vision Pro can't fry your brain or burn your skin. However, the American gadget maker warned that users with certain medical conditions should consult health experts before using the new AR device.
"If you have a pre-existing medical condition, consult with a medical provider before using Apple Vision Pro," said Apple via its official support website.
"Using this device with certain medical conditions might aggravate symptoms or increase the risk of injury or discomfort," the company added.
Apple explained that people with existing medical conditions can have a higher risk of injury, have aggravated symptoms, or experience discomfort when using the Apple Vision Pro.
Here are some of the things they can suffer from if they don't consult their doctors first:
