Israel's ground offensive plan in Rafah could lead to arms exports suspension with the United Kingdom. The UK government said that it is considering doing so if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues his ground offensive plan.
Recently, Israeli war cabinet Benny Gantz confirmed that the Israel Defense Forces will launch a ground offensive in the southern Gaza Strip city if Hamas terrorists do not release hostages. But, the UK, the US, and other countries opposed the plan of Israel since Rafah currently shelters over 1 million Palestinian civilians.
Israel's Ground Offensive Plan in Rafah Could Lead To Arms Exports Suspension
According to The Guardian's latest report, the UK government is facing diplomatic pressure as other countries urge it to suspend arms exports to Israel.
Now, the UK joined other allies in pressuring Israel to cancel its ground offensive plan in Rafah. Although no final decision regarding the arms export suspension yet, UK ministerial sources said the United Kingdom has the ability to respond quickly.
They said that this will happen if the legal advice provided to the ministers proves that Israel is breaching the international humanitarian law.
In the Commons, UK Foreign Minister Andrew Mitchell said that Israel's ground offensive in Rafah represented a red line for the British government. He told MPs that they are urging IDF not to launch an attack that could have devastating consequences in the Palestinian city.

About Israel Ground Offensive Plan in Rafah
The Israeli government said that they will launch their ground offensive in the city of Rafah on Mar. 10 if Hamas terrorists do not release hostages, as reported by BBC News.
IDF officials claimed that intelligence indicated that hostages were taken by Hamas in the complex. Because of this, they threatened terrorist leaders that an operation, which they describe as "precise and limited," would be launched.
They also accused Hamas terrorists of "cynically using hospitals for terror."
"The world must know, and Hamas leaders must know - if by Ramadan our hostages are not home, the fighting will continue everywhere, including the Rafah area," said Gantz.
The Israeli war cabinet official promised that they would ensure the safe evacuation of Palestinian civilians by coordinating with American and Egyptian partners; minimizing civilian casualties.
