Plane Carrying Grammy Award Winning Artist Makes Emergency Landing

The singer won her debut Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album with "Mañana Será Bonito."

On Thursday a plane carrying Grammy Award-winning singer Karol G made an emergency landing at Los Angeles airport, reports the Associated Press.

The plane, which carried the singer and others, landed at Van Nuys Airport around 9 pm. No immediate reports of injuries have come out of the story.

The private plane left Hollywood Burbank Airport carrying 16 people and traveled east, but turned around shortly thereafter when the pilot noticed smoke in the cockpit.

The source of the smoke has yet to be determined.

Karol G won a Grammy recently and was honored by Billboard as the magazine's 2024 Woman of the Year.

She is expected to be honored at the upcoming Billboard Women in Music Awards next week. Karol G won her first Grammy and was named Billboard magazine's 2024 Woman of the Year.

The singer won her first Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album for "Mañana Será Bonito."

People Magazine reported that during the 66th Annual Grammy Awards held on Sunday night, the artist received recognition for her album, Mañana Será Bonito.

"This is my first time at [the] Grammys, and this is my first time holding my own Grammy," she remarked upon receiving the award. "I'm super happy, I'm super nervous, I'm super excited to be in front of so many legends that I admire and respect."

Expressing gratitude towards her fan base, Karol G, aged 32, remarked, "This is such a beautiful thing. My album has given me the best memories in my own life, my whole life - my fans that came and enjoyed my album, that gave motivation and inspiration and heal with me - thank you so much."
She concluded, "I promise you to give you my best always, and I hope this is the first of so many."
